Yes, I know the message. But I’m a die-hard smoker for nearly 40 years. And although it is banned here, inside buildings, it’s an Italian ban which is not quite the same as elsewhere :-)

Sadly, I was still wearing platform shoes (and to work) several years after they went out of fashion so you can imagine my joy when they tried to get them to make a comeback. Which turned to horror when I realised I had spent so much on shoes I could not really wear :-(. Ah well, they were quite the talk of the party, so it was worth it in the end.

It appears that smokers everywhere are being discriminated against. Perhaps there is a lesson/message to be learned/heard.

Your dress-up party? I am a jeans and boots gal myself. I dress it up a tad by wearing a sexy shirt, as in “sporting” some cleavage and very obviously expensive jewelery. If I do my hair fancy with matching clips I can still turn a head or two. :-)

I think the Henchman (sorry, Health and Safety Manager) is giving her some hassle. You are right of course there are always some that are more equal than others.

Yes, I’m afraid we didn’t really realise it rained so much here. Maybe we would have made another choice of place to go. Or, maybe, it’s just because it is raining so much at the moment that I think that. I just got back with the dogs and they are soaked.
