He’s always wanted a party where, say, everyone dresses in black and then he wears white. I don’t really know why. In this case everyone has to wear white.
@Pietro – of course you may say something. I hear what you say. I really don’t know if anything will happen. It’s just because I don’t know of any reason to hold it and the reason I had originally thought of is not the reason (I can tell by the guest list). So now, I have no idea. We shall see – it’s only tomorrow night!

You are now prepared to the worst situation. If not, my suggestion is to think to the very worst thing that can happen or that you would avoid completely. Once you are prepared to that, you are ok.
It is really hard, because you have to force yourself to think to the only thing you want to forget.
If it happen (I hope for you this is not the case), at least you are a little preprared. It will hurt, but less than a surprise.
If nothing as the “bad” happens, you can appreciate the joy to have skip that and you can take the rest as “good”, even if that is not really “good”.
Anyway, you will not have a good sleep tonight, but you could be ready tomorrow.
I’ve done this on my own. It helps.

However, this may just be in my head and nothing to do with reality. It just seems a bit odd and for no obvious purpose. If he had said something like – well, it may be the last time that we’ll be able to entertain all these people at one time, together – that’s a reason that I would understand. As it is – no reason makes me suspicious.

Oh my – your fears/concerns are so unsettling to read and feel. I can’t imagine that ‘V’ would do anything to surprise you in a way that was hurtful. Right? Well, I will be SO anxious to know what the surprise is, not as anxious as you but anxious all the same.

And, I think any excuse to wear ‘all-white’ is worth it! :-) I know you will look delicious.
