But not just the Italian press but all of them, all over the world. And you’re right, it’s not just the ‘gutter’ press but also the broadsheets.

I suppose it’s a way to sell themselves but I think we are in danger of being de-sensitised.

To be honest, a couple of years ago, in Milan, we had far worse weather around this time. The main roads weren’t clear of snow for about 3 days! Surely more tragedy happened then?

I wonder if it is our newspapers’ fault, this exaggeration. Our press (read on-line all over the world) appears desperate and dramatizes everything. Every day is a ‘bollettino di guerra’. I don’t mean the popular newspapers. I mean the major ones.
