No the shoes were brown. I said I looked down and it looked like they had got something white on them – but it was the white floor showing through where it shouldn’t have been able to. Anyway, as a separate thing I do actually own a pair of white boots – by Cesare Paciotti – a really good Italian shoemakers – but they weren’t affected otherwise I might have been a tad more angry

Also, a while back you wrote of Dino chewing your white shoes and that you were going to buy some new ones. That is where my comments about the white shoes originated. :-)
