I felt it was the perfect time to visit Rome but hopefully will be back more often now at different times and different seasons.

Hi Andy,

I was at Giggetto a couple of times only and I also found the deep-fried globe artichokes great. Of course they are a special dish here, Carciofi alla giudia, and the Roman artichokes are a bit different from other types, I mean the plant.

The Jews at the Ghetto are proud to be the most ancient Romans, since they came here since the times of Emperor Titus, who sacked Jerusalem and scattered the Jews all around (diaspora.) And yes, Rome has (had) a ghetto, like every major European city.

I can see you have expanded your way of writing. Your posts are longer and more personal. I like that andd will come back.

It is a real pity you visited Rome in the *worst* time of the year.
