Well, in answer to your question, it is really difficult to explain. I suppose the first thing is that I like writing, a lot. Secondly, even in real life, I am quite an open person and so, although I wouldn’t necessarily say everything, almost everything I have written I have, probably, already told someone about. And to me, this is almost impersonal – not real – even if I actually know, in real life, some of the people who read this.

So, with the two things together – they always say write about what you know and that’s what I am doing.

In addition I find it very cathartic and, yes, some of it makes me feel much better.

It is possible to write anonymous blogs – see Supermarket Soap and one that I used to have on here, Italy is Falling – but it is hard to do and far too hard for me. Sure, I try not to use full names of anyone I know and, recently, used made-up names for the men I have been dating recently but, to be honest, if anyone mentioned here finds this blog, they will be able to tell who they are.

I try and explain, if someone I know wants to have a look, that sometimes these things I write are just the crazy thoughts that flow through my mixed up brain and that they shouldn’t read it as any more than an nuance of my life, since it cannot be everything.

Above all, for me, it’s fun! And, as an example on the post about the little blue pills – it’s things I feel that people should talk about openly – after all it takes away the stigma or prejudice surrounding this sort of stuff.
