Hi,

Yes, you've written about the Scotsman :-D

Unfortunately, this was a customer and, therefore, a guest of our company.

Worse still, I got an email from him yesterday. Basically, it said that he thought we were really good but that the problem was our customer who was just trying to cause trouble! The email just proved to me the unprofessionalism of the guy - no one EVER should ever name names like that, especially when you are talking to a supplier about their customer. Not at all impressed.

Of course, that was because our customer translated what they were saying in Swedish, in front of them - which was 'they don't believe your paperwork!'. To me, a perfectly reasonable thing to do - they wouldn't have said it in English - so why say it in a language we didn't understand and then be embarrassed when it is translated for us?

The way he behaved reminded me of The Scotsman. You can argue and argue with him about something you know to be fact, and he'll either try to shout you down or snort at you and storm off.
