Yes, I suppose it would give you a sense of belonging. Right now, at this early stage, I don’t really get that. I thought V would be forever and, should I reach retirement, we would be together. I can’t think that long ahead now with F (not that it’s his fault) – at least, not yet.

I guess I should write a post about his family then :-D That was a very subtle hint ;-)

going down in March and doing a bit of painting and cleaning is a very good idea.
I like taking care of my old house (well, I must admit my mum has worked hard so far. I haven’t but I’m on the right track), it gives me a sense of belonging.
I wonder how is his family (besides J.D.). Do you get along with them?
