Hahahaha! :-D
OK then. You will see a different place, I promise. (You will also eat food that is good, I also promise that!)
I've eaten in one London/Italian restaurant. I think it was called Zilli's in Soho. They did a wonderful black spaghetti with seafood :-D

I like fish and chips but I must admit that I think I can't eat well in the UK! Perhaps I can eat well in some expansive Italian restaurants in London :D

Not really, Lola. I always like to respond to my readers - where I can ;-)

2) Yes, I know it's wise. Despite everything, I will never actually be 'blood', however much they like me. And, if this is to be long-term, the family HAVE TO like me. Best behaviour is a must! :-)

3) Yes, this is typically Italian. My love of food means that I love this characteristic of Italians :-). I love the fact that your parents sent food across the Atlantic to you.

In spite of my attempts to prove to Italians that English food does not always equal bad and tasteless, they still think you can't eat well in the UK (for example) - except for F who loves Fish and Chips and stuff like that (which I don't really like).

Anyway, that was 'The Folks', especially for you!

Grazie Andy,
you always fulfill my curiosty. I'm a spoiled reader ;)

I'm so glad you like his family. I'm not surprised they like you either. Also, the language barrier was not a major issue which is great. Well it was but it didn't prevent you from communicating and/or feeling connected to them (except for Fa).

Two (maybe three) things:

1) "He sports a moustache that would have been perfect in the 30s or 40s. " :D

2) " don’t get out of the ‘being on my best behaviour mode’" it's very wise on you !!

3) " Straight away she said I should come to her place ‘to be fed’! :D hahaha this is, I'm sure you know it, typical Italian. There is always someone within a family who desperately wants to feed a)kids b) husbands c) boyfriends/girlfriends or simply friends; d) dogs!!
My mum is not the typical Italian mamma but yet she always asks my parter: have you had enough? Sure?? I don't think so...take more cheese /meat and so forth.
When I moved to Canada my parents sent me (guess what?) food!
