Poison

Sambucca is, most definitely, poison. It is also delicious, which is the problem. That, and when we go to Sento, our favourite Japanese restaurant, they bring the bottle so we can keep topping up.

Last night, having brought a bottle with not so much in, when we (that’s just V & I) had finished it, they brought a new bottle.

And, as usual, the next day (to be honest, even at the time), I keep telling myself to stop. But, there are times when I just don’t listen to myself.

Damn.

  1. Well, you’d better listen to yourself, it’s really poison, and it seems most people in the Mediterranean adore similar liquors based on Anise: Raki in Turkey, Mastic and Ouzo in Greece, Richard Pastis and Pernoud in France. If you want to kill yourself, go ahead, it is a very quick way :-)
