No, not me. I’m really busy and have no time to be bored, although I am incredibly tired.
No, this is for S, my best mate. She is bored and fed-up and wants to be home rather than where she is right now. Still, as I told her yesterday, only a few more days.
So this is an update for her, really. Not that I have much to tell. I may be going to Wolverhampton in a few weeks and, if I’m not going to go with colleagues, then I might just pop down to see her. But it’ll be as a surprise visit (there, that will show whether she actually reads this or not.)
In the meantime, I am currently looking for a flight to get her home early……
In other news, V will be visiting family in a few weeks also. Someone is going in for an operation and he really wants to be there, which I fully understand. However, trying to get him to phone them over the last year or so has been difficult and I don’t wish to become the nagging partner.
It is now much colder here. I am having to wear jackets and sandals are a mere memory now that it is impossible for me to go without socks (I am not one of those English people who wears socks with sandals).
However, the afternoons can be quite warm (mid 20s) but I am, of course, at work and so only get to enjoy it when I go outside for a cigarette. I could be in Spain, as I was last year. Ho hum.
Dino has so much energy these days. I really had forgotten how much work they can be. On the bright side, in the house, Dino and Rufus now play quite a lot, at least when I’m there. There is definitely a tussle for who is top dog. Rufus is determined that Dino will not have anything to play with and keeps him from things with growls and the occasional snap. Unfortunately, this has extended outside. Now, sometimes, if Dino is playing with another dog, Rufus tries to get between them and keep Dino from playing. Other people think that Rufus is being protective (with Dino), whereas, I can see what he is really doing.
Still, I don’t think it will be for long. Dino is still growing and soon will be considerably bigger and heavier than Rufus. We shall see.
Thank goodness, V will not be working this weekend. Of course, having worked, more or less, for three weeks without a break, he will probably sleep for most of it so it won’t be much of a weekend together but at least we won’t be waking up in, what seems now, the middle of the night. I really don’t care for winter much.
I have also decided that I really need a job where there are no customers. Exactly what this job is, I have no idea. Please let me know if you can think of one.
I should also add that the job should allow me to be like birds. I need to migrate south when it gets colder.
Oh yes, and preferably, it should make me rich, or at least, well-off.
Many thanks.
There. Happy, difficulttoplease?
