Nicholas Hellen – a member of the gutter ?press?

On a few of my links (to the right), I found reference to another blog.  The lady concerned has published a book based on her blog (don’t worry, reader, that won’t happen with mine, especially as there’s no real theme).  So that gutter rag, the Sunday Times, decided that they wanted some sort of scoop and sent an email to her which you can read here.

Unfortunately, it’s more or less what I would expect of journalists in general (apologies to my journalist friends who, I’m sure, would NEVER sink to this level of journalism).  However, to be honest, I didn’t put the Sunday Times in with the rest of the gutter and really thought they were above this.

Nicholas Hellen should be ashamed.  The Sunday Times should also be ashamed – and do something about it.  This kind of blackmail is not investigative journalism and nor is it in the public interest, it’s just intrusive, disgusting blackmail.  Isn’t there a law against it?  If not, then there should be.  No doubt they will immediately whine about the ‘freedom of the press’, but what about the freedom of the ordinary people?  Totally disgusting.

Thanks to My Boyfriend is.. which, sadly exists no more, and Rockpool in the Kitchen which has not been updated (as a blog) since 2010, but is where I saw this thing about Hellen.
