Finally, I can confirm that V has had the full-time, permanent contract and signed it (which is, actually, more than I have done).  He officially starts next Monday.  This is such fabulous news and I am really pleased for him.  It won’t stop him doing his fashion things either, so that’s really good.

Apparently, they are giving him, pretty much, carte blanche to organise the team and do what he wants to with the team he will have.  So it is said, no one before has ever been offered such a thing within such a short period and never without being fluent in Italian.

He is so chuffed and rightly so.

Today is difficult, like most Mondays.  I wish to sit here all day without much interaction with others, but that simply isn’t possible.  Still, I have done a presentation for next week and sorted out as much of a failed unit as I can until the Chief Engineer returns from holiday, tomorrow.

And the picture.  I got this idea from another blog.  type in a word and select a picture from the first page of images displayed by Google.  In this case, the word was ‘indeterminato’.  Yes, I don’t understand why this picture would appear either, but I thought it was funny.
