The weekend and other things

The_weekend_and_other_things

This weekend was spent, mostly, working. My other job that is. To be honest the whole thing should have taken about 2 hours. It took most of Saturday because my websites’ hosters had to do things – but, obviously, only after I’d tried to fix it myself!

And still I can’t make it do what the customer really wants but on this one, other than a fiddly work-around, which really isn’t practical, it looks like there is no way to do it. Damn.

And then there were the accounts to do as Year End has just finished. I found that, in spite of thinking I had been keeping it pretty much up-to-date, I hadn’t. So it took me a little while. Damn again.

V suggested going for sushi at Sento last night. They have changed the menus. I mean physically changed them as well as changing some items. We both decided that it all seemed too filling this time and were trying to work out why. Normally, we can eat sushi and, if we’re having a ‘boat’ of mixed sushi, finish off any that other people in our party don’t want but, last night, by the end of the sushi (for just the two of us) we were really full! Perhaps, we speculated, they were using more rice or perhaps different rice.

And now, in spite of my best efforts, it looks like I have to go to Denmark for the other work. Worse still, stay overnight. It’s not that the food isn’t good or anything but, to be honest, I have had enough of travelling AND it’s not like it’s a particularly good time for it. Oh well.

The person who is currently living in the-prefect-flat-on-the-perfect-street called to arrange for me to pick up the keys from her. So, that is moving on. I must decide on the removal people TODAY! It’s a choice of two – one is an English guy and the other is Italian. More or less the same cost. I am tempted by the English guy – only because I explained everything better to him and knew that he understood.

  1. Hi Andy-

I love how most if not all of your adventures include food, where it is good or not etc. Love it! And ya, the English guy sounds right.

    Love from across the pond

    peace…..
