We were catching a plane and I quite like certain airlines. My favourite is Lufthansa followed by Alitalia. For about 9 months I flew Lufthansa every week to Cologne and I found them to be great. So, although this time we were not going to Germany, we were using Lufthansa and that meant a connection in Frankfurt.
I have mentioned before about the Italians need to ‘change the air’. This is a requirement from birth, I think. Si, bless her, no longer opens the window first thing in the morning, in the office, because I am there. She used to come in, open the window, go and have a coffee, and then come back and close it. I only learnt this fact this week.
I remember a court case that a company (C), was involved in. They were providing software for an organisation (TO) which didn’t think that they had done a good job and the statistics (which was the point of the software) weren’t good. C wanted their money, of course.
Well, it’s been a few days since my last post and a few things have been happening.
So, it’s Bank Holiday in the UK with cold, wet weather – there’s a surprise! If it’s any consolation to you, we too have colder and very, very wet weather as I write this. The difference is that it is not a Bank Holiday weekend so I am at work.
For the first time, as I’m not actually there, I’m reading about the Hay Festival and there’s both negative and positive. But I am amazed by the vitriol expounded by some bloggers.
N was telling me last night about her successful cockroach killing secret weapon. It seems that they have had a couple of them in her flat and it’s not just her apartment, but the whole building. The landlady gave her some bait to put down, which she duly did and then she saw the cockroach come along, dance for a while around the bait and then scamper off!
Well, today is the start of the 20th Hay Festival. I looked on the website as I was thinking of S and suddenly, I really miss the Festival. We won’t be going at all and this will be the first time in over 10 years that we won’t be there, in any role, punters, debenture holders or box office staff.
Yesterday, as I was posting the post below and changing a few things (because WordPress does funny things to the post sometimes – I think it’s the font that causes the problem), I checked my visitors and found someone else reading my blog at the same time! This is quite freaky. Those of you who have blogs that actually have visitors all the time may not appreciate how exciting this can be. I mean, we’re on the site exactly at the same time!
Finally, as the temperature had reached a whopping 32 degrees C, the air conditioning has been switched on! Hurrah!
