Finally, I can confirm that V has had the full-time, permanent contract and signed it (which is, actually, more than I have done). He officially starts next Monday. This is such fabulous news and I am really pleased for him. It won’t stop him doing his fashion things either, so that’s really good.

Coming back with mixed feelings
We’ve had a lovely couple of days away. Enjoying the atmosphere, the climate, the country and, most importantly, friends’ company, good food and wine.
All those in pain say ‘aye’!
What a strange thing it is. Here, people, if they get hurt, don’t say ‘ow’, but ‘ai’ (pronounced aye).
Second Lifers lose out on their First Life
Second Life is a phenomenon. The virtual world where you create your own persona, a new persona. You can be anything you want. You create yourself as a beauty, as strong, as someone you aren’t in real life, in First Life.
I became blind
I can feel the wind on my face and my hair. I can feel the sway of the boat and the surge as it hits the waves. I can hear the engine and the sounds of the other passengers. It’s comfortable and I feel safe. I’m sitting next to Chiara. She is beautiful. Well, when I say that, her voice is beautiful. She has long, dark hair and a pretty face, although none of this I can see. It’s not that it’s night, it’s total darkness. Really. Not a single iota of light. I am blind. She often grasps for my hand. She has a delicate, slightly cold, hand. Long fingers, Sweet, like her.
